Russia values Anti-Terror Cooperation with Moscow

MOSCOW   Russia highly values counter-terrorist cooperation with Pakistan as a key player in the field, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Wednesday.

"Pakistan is one of the key countries in the fight against terrorism. In this regard, Russia of course attaches great importance to cooperation with Pakistan," Peskov told reporters.
Russia’s Ground Troops Commander Col.-Gen. Oleg Salyukov announced last month Russia would hold first ever joint Russia-Pakistan counterterrorism exercises in mountainous terrain this year.
Pakistan is mediating peace talks between Afghan authorities and the Taliban insurgency.
