Sufism and Positivity

Sufism and Positivity
Dr. Jassim Taqui

The Sufi school of thought always preaches universal values of love, tolerance and mutual accommodation. Sufism emphasizes positive thinking .They believe that positive thinking creates love and wonders. Sufi's perception that "Positivity erases Negativity" means that a positive person would never be a sinner. It means that no positive person would ever suffer in his life.

According to Rumi, " Everyone in this universe has a destiny. But the Positive Soul can ordain what is beyond destiny. It means God bestows His blessing to lead the Positive Soul to a new form of destiny.

Ibn Al-Arabi maintains that this Positive Soul becomes the closest to the divine writ that always blesses it.

For Rumi, the Positive Soul is drunk without wine, full without bread, distraught and astounded, neither eats nor sleeps, a King / Queen under his/her robe, a treasure in the ruins, isn't made of air and earth, isn't made of fire and water, is an ocean without limits, makes pearl rain without clouds, possesses a hundred moons and heavens, possesses a hundred dancing suns, is made wise by Supreme Truth, isn't instructed by books, is beyond faith and godlessness, just and unjust are alike, has ridden out of non- being, is served with dignity, is hidden, and does exist in every human. The real task is to go deep inside and find the Positive Soul in you.

The Positive Soul for the Sufi Yunus Marmar is like a key to a written book of wisdom. However unlike the ordinary authors who publish their books for a fixed price, the Sufis don't . Their key is not for sale though it unveils the wisdom in the book. However, people buy books but never bother to ask for the key to understanding it , even free of charge!
