Theresa May to use nukes

The Cold War II and the war on terrorism are now threatening the survival of human race.

According to the statement of the new British Prime Minister Theresa May who maintains close working relations with CIA when she was Home Secretary, said she would use the UK’s nuclear weapons in response to a nuclear attack by Russia and North Korea claiming that their threat to the UK was “very real.”

May has been motivated by a recent poll, which shows that about 60 percent of Britain favors nuclear retaliation even if 100,000 innocent civilians were killed by nukes.

This is a very serious and destructive thinking by May. Seemingly, May thinks that nukes are “toys,” and it is safe to play with nuclear weapons. It also shows that she is intellectually bankrupt in matters pertaining to global peace and security.

The statement also highlights British escalation of the Cold War II with the Russian Federation. It is highly irresponsible statement especially when Britain is a permanent member of UN Security Council. Britain as a permanent member of UNSC should ensure world peace and not devastating nuclear war.

The UN Secretary-General Ban Ki- moon should take serious note of the statement of May. All NGOs, which are working throughout the world for international peace and security, should raise their vote high against this mad policy.
