EU Ambassador lauds Pak anti-terror operations

EU Ambassador lauds Pak anti-terror operations
Dr. Jassim Taqui

The EU Ambassador to Pakistan Jean-Francois Caution lauded Pak’s anti-terror and extremism operations and said that the experience of Pakistan could help the international community to help secure borders.
Caution was speaking at the first session of the two-day international conference titled “ Countering radicalization and terrorism in Europe, the Middle East, and South Asia in the wake of international migration- moving towards peace and harmony.”
The moot was organized by the University of Karachi’s Area Study Center for Europe and the Hanns Seidel Foundation, Islamabad.
Caution focused on cutting links between terror groups, thus cornering each one of them and ultimately crushing them.
He shared how Europe suffered from IRA( 1970-1980) and the Red Army (1970-1990) where 400 people were killed every year all over Europe. However, cooperation between European countries succeeded in the end in crushing the terrorists.

One hopes that EU and Pakistan would combine to share intelligence and experience in combating terrorism and extremism.
