The Trump Paradox

Islamabad, September 9, 2021: The former US President Donald Trump continues
to be an element of himself to quote Russell’s paradox in mathematics.
Having advocated himself the withdrawal
of the US troops from Afghanistan, he recently dissented with himself and
promised to dethrone US President Joe Biden and assume power. Once in power,
Trump promised to send the US troops back to Afghanistan to change history.
This notion is clearly at variance with
the lessons of history as advocated by the historians Will Durant and Ariel
Durant. One of these lessons is that history cannot go back as fantasized by H.G Wells in his famous novel The Time Machine
or the notion of Time Travel in fiction. The central premise for all stories
often involves changing history and even influence future history.
Ostensibly, Trump is dreaming of
changing history even as President Joe Biden has made history by withdrawing
the US forces from Afghanistan notwithstanding its negative fallouts on the international
arena.
Therefore, the dictates of history
warrant that Trump will vanish while Joe Biden will continue his mission of
shaping history.
