Beware sycophants

In the present critical phase of its contemporary history, Pakistan faces huge challenges that pose threat to its very existence. Arguably, the disunity among politicians tops the challenges. In this regard, it is  the sycophants who are causing the maximum damage to the already fragile political system.

The decision makers have surrounded themselves with a group of sycophants who act obsequiously and harmfully; distracting them from the real issues that face the nation.

Similarly, some self-defeating media groups agitate confrontation and controversial policy in a bid to show either loyalty or enmity to a particular group.

It is about time that all decision makers realize the danger of sycophants and marginalize them forthwith . This can only be possible when the civil-military leadership concerned define their areas of interest and work together as a united team.
