Resolving the problem of Statelessness

Resolving the problem of Statelessness
Dr. Jassim Taqui

While all Muslim countries refuse to give nationality to those born, educated and lived for decades in their territories, there are other bright spots in world community. The United States, Canada, Brazil, Argentine, Barbados, Costa Rica and Bolivia hold that natural person born on foreign ships docked at their  ports within the limit of their territorial waters or born during  flight in their air space are their first class national.

The Middle East refugees in Turkey, Arab countries , North Africa, Israel and Europe face problems registering their newly born children there in total violation of the 1961 Convention of reduction of Statelessness. The problem here is gigantic. The United Nationals, international community and human rights organizations should focus their attention to solve this problem of statelessness.
