American Ambassador David Hale Condemns
the August 8 Attacks in Quetta

Al-Bab Report

Islamabad, August 8, 2016 – “On behalf of the U.S. Mission to Pakistan, I strongly condemn today’s horrendous and despicable attacks in Quetta, the murder of Bilal Kasi, the Balochistan Bar Association President and the bombing at the Civil Hospital. I extend my deepest condolences to the victims and their families during this time of grief. This brutal and senseless attack on civilians, so many of them lawyers working to bring justice to their country, will not undermine one of the most important pillars of Pakistan’s democracy and civil society. We know this attack will not weaken the determination of the Pakistani people to create a secure, stable, and prosperous country.
The United States stands with the government and people of Pakistan and is committed to supporting them in the fight against terrorism. We support Pakistan's efforts to bring to justice those behind the attack.”
