The waning President

Islamabad, August 3, 2021: In a surprise U-turn, the waning Afghan President Ashraf Ghani(AG) conceded the fast-deteriorating situation in Afghanistan. However, he put the blame squarely on the US “sudden” decision by the US to withdraw its troops.

Suddenly, AG found himself relevant and capable of restoring the status quo within just six months even as the US and NATO failed to do so in 20 years. Most probably, AG found out that he is a superman that can miraculously heal wounds. Nobody knows how he can do this feat.

Maybe AG has developed a time machine that can travel in time to correct the mistakes he committed during two terms in power. Some whisper that AG purchased the time machine from the British physicist Professor Mallett. But there is no clue about the price of the machine.

AG claimed that he achieved an understanding with the Taliban in Doha according to which the fundos agreed to take part in the peace process.

Probably AG is suffering from aging that makes him occasionally forget or confusing things.

The fundos, however, came to his rescue when their spokesman, Zabihullah Mujahid stated, Declarations of war, accusations, and lies cannot prolong Ghani's tenure; his time has run out.”
